What Is the Advertising Requirement (Annonsering, Sweden)?
This is a Swedish procurement term. The requirement that a procurement generally be advertised so suppliers can learn of it, via a notice database registered with the Swedish Competition Authority.
Which procurements do not need to be advertised?
Direct awards and the negotiated procedure without prior publication, where the law allows them. Call-offs from existing framework agreements are not advertised either, because the framework agreement itself has already been advertised.
What is the difference between advertising above and below the thresholds?
Above the thresholds, the procurement is also advertised in the EU's TED database, and specific notice forms and time limits apply. Below the thresholds, a notice in a registered Swedish advertising database is enough.
What is a prior information notice?
A notice announcing planned procurements. It is voluntary, but it can allow the authority to shorten the tender period and gives suppliers early warning of upcoming opportunities.
