What Is an Assessment Summary?
The feedback a buyer must give each supplier explaining how their tender was assessed, including how it compared with the winning bid. It starts the standstill clock.
What must an assessment summary contain?
How the supplier's tender was assessed against each award criterion, its score, and, if it did not win, how it compared with the most advantageous tender.
When is it sent?
Before the contract award notice is published, to every supplier that submitted an assessed tender. The standstill period then gives suppliers time to review it.
What should a supplier do with it?
Check the scores against the published criteria, look for errors or inconsistencies and decide quickly whether to raise concerns, as the standstill window is short. Winners can use it to see where they could still improve.
