What Is an Award?
The decision on which supplier wins the competition, based on the award criteria.
What does an award decision contain?
Which supplier won, the reasons, the characteristics and relative advantages of the winning bid, and the date on which the contract can be signed.
What happens after the award?
A standstill period during which the other bidders can challenge the decision. The contract can only be signed once that period has expired.
Can an award be withdrawn?
Yes, if the buyer discovers an error or a complaint shows the evaluation was wrong. The buyer then re-evaluates and issues a new decision.
