What Is a Bidders' Conference (Bieterkonferenz, Germany)?
This is a German procurement term. An information event at which the contracting authority explains the contract to bidders and answers questions.
What is a Bieterkonferenz?
A meeting during the tender period at which the buyer presents the contract, answers questions and sometimes shows the site. All interested companies may attend.
Are the answers binding?
Only if the buyer records them and sends the record to all participants. Oral statements alone cannot change the tender documents.
Is attendance mandatory?
Only if the tender documents say so. In works procurements with a site visit it often is.
