What Is the Norwegian Concession Contracts Regulation (Konsesjonskontraktforskriften)?
This is Norwegian law. The rules governing the award of concession contracts.
What is a concession?
A contract in which the supplier is paid wholly or partly through the right to exploit the works or service, and bears the operating risk, for example running a car park or a ferry route.
How do the rules differ from ordinary procurement?
The regulation gives the buyer more freedom to design the procedure, but the basic principles of competition, equal treatment and transparency apply in full.
What is the threshold?
Concessions have their own EEA threshold, which is higher than the one for goods and services. Check the current figure before relying on it.
