What Is a Confidentiality Review (Sekretessprövning, Sweden)?
This is a Swedish procurement term. The review that must be carried out, as quickly as possible, whenever a document is requested, to decide whether it can be released.
Who carries out the confidentiality review?
The authority that holds the document. The supplier may be given the chance to comment, but the authority makes the decision.
What is assessed when someone requests a bid?
Whether information about the supplier's business or operating circumstances can be disclosed without harming the supplier. Bid prices are often disclosed after the award decision, whereas detailed cost calculations, for example, are more often kept confidential.
Can you appeal a confidentiality decision?
Anyone refused access to a document can appeal the decision to the administrative court of appeal.
