What Are Contract Terms (Kontraktsvilkår, Norway)?
This is a Norwegian procurement term. The conditions the buyer sets for the performance of the contract.
When are contract terms set?
In the tender documents, before bids are submitted. They are a fixed condition of the competition and are normally not negotiable in an open competition.
Which terms matter most to a supplier?
The ones carrying financial risk: liquidated damages, liability, price adjustment, volume commitments, termination rights and requirements on pay and working conditions.
What can a supplier do about an unreasonable term?
Raise it as a clarification question during the tender period. A reservation against the terms in the bid itself risks rejection.
