What Is e-Procurement (eVergabe, Germany)?
This is a German procurement term. The fully electronic handling of procurement procedures.
What does eVergabe cover?
The entire procedure handled electronically: publication, provision of documents, bidder questions, submission of bids, opening and communication with bidders.
Is it mandatory?
Yes, above the EU thresholds since 2018. Bids must be submitted electronically through the platform named in the notice. Below the thresholds, most states also require it.
What do bidders need?
An account on the relevant platform and, depending on the procedure, a qualified electronic signature or seal. Paper bids are rejected.
