How do you show that you meet the environmental requirements?
Often through eco-labels, certifications or technical documentation. If a requirement refers to a specific label, the authority must also accept equivalent evidence.
Can any environmental requirement be set?
No. Requirements must be linked to the subject matter of the contract and be proportionate. Requirements on a supplier's general environmental work with no link to the contract are generally not allowed as award criteria.
Why do the same environmental requirements appear in many procurements?
Many authorities use the ready-made sustainability criteria published by the Swedish National Agency for Public Procurement, so the same requirements often recur within a sector.
