What Was VOF, the Former German Rules for Professional Services?
This is a former set of German procurement rules. The earlier rulebook for professional services, now absorbed into the VgV.
What was the VOF?
The rulebook for procuring freelance professional services such as architecture, engineering and legal advice, used until 2016.
What replaced it?
The VgV, which now contains a dedicated section for architectural and engineering services, including design contests and the negotiated procedure.
What changed for suppliers?
The procedures are now the same as for other services, but the VgV keeps special rules on selecting planners and on the use of design contests.
