What Is an Invitation to Tender (ITT)?

The pack of documents inviting suppliers to submit their bids: the specification, conditions, response forms and assessment method.

What does an ITT usually contain?

The specification, instructions for bidders, the award criteria and assessment methodology, the draft contract terms and the forms or questions the supplier must complete.

How is an ITT different from a tender notice?

The tender notice announces the competition publicly. The ITT is the detailed document pack suppliers use to prepare their bid.

What should suppliers check first?

The deadline, any mandatory requirements, the award criteria and weighting, and the date for clarification questions.
