What Are Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)?
This is a UK procurement term. The metrics used to track whether a contract is delivering as promised, required for public contracts worth £5 million or more.
Which contracts must have KPIs?
Public contracts worth more than £5 million must have at least three KPIs, unless the buyer considers that performance could not appropriately be assessed that way.
How are KPIs reported?
Through contract performance notices published at least once a year, showing how the supplier is performing against each KPI.
Why do KPIs matter to suppliers?
Published performance can be considered in future procurements, so strong results support future bids and weak results can hurt them.
