What Is a Mini-Competition (Minikonkurranse, Norway)?
This is a Norwegian procurement term. A simplified competition among the suppliers on a framework agreement when a specific purchase is to be awarded.
When is a mini-competition used?
When a framework agreement has several suppliers and the terms are not all fixed, so a specific purchase has to be competed among them.
Who takes part?
All suppliers on the framework agreement that are capable of performing the contract must be invited in writing.
Can new requirements be added?
The terms can be specified and supplemented, but not changed materially compared with the framework agreement, and the evaluation must follow the grounds set out in it.
