What Is a Price Comparison Table (Preisspiegel, Germany)?
This is a German procurement term. The tabular comparison of all bid prices, for transparent price comparison.
What is a Preisspiegel?
A table comparing the unit prices of all bids for each line item, used to check for calculation errors, mixed pricing and unusually low prices.
Can bidders see it?
Not normally. It is an internal evaluation document. In a review procedure, the chamber may grant access with competitors' prices anonymised.
Why does it matter to bidders?
Because a unit price far from the others triggers clarification talks and may be read as mixed pricing. Consistent calculation avoids this.
