This is a German procurement term. An early notice about contracts a contracting authority intends to award in future.
What is a Vorinformation?
A notice published before the procurement, announcing contracts the buyer intends to award in the coming months. It is voluntary and lets suppliers prepare.
Does it shorten the tender deadline?
Yes. If it was published at least 35 days before the contract notice, the buyer may shorten the tender deadline in the open procedure.
Should it be confused with Vorabinformation?
No. The Vorabinformation under section 134 GWB is the notice to unsuccessful bidders before the award, which starts the standstill period.
