What Is the Procurement Act 2023?
This is a UK procurement term. The law governing most public procurement in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, in force since 24 February 2025.
What changed under the Procurement Act 2023?
It replaced several sets of regulations with a single regime, introduced the competitive flexible procedure, the Central Digital Platform, new transparency notices and the most advantageous tender standard.
Where does it apply?
In England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Scotland has its own procurement rules.
Does it apply to procurements started before February 2025?
No. Procurements started under the old regulations continue under those rules until they are completed.
