What Is the Procurement Process (Anskaffelsesprosess, Norway)?

This is a Norwegian procurement term. The step-by-step course from when a need arises, through competition and award, to the contract being fulfilled and evaluated.

What are the main stages?

Needs analysis and market research, planning and choice of procedure, publication and tendering, evaluation and award, standstill, contract signature, and finally contract follow-up.

Where do suppliers get involved?

Ideally during market dialogue before the notice, and then from publication onwards. Suppliers who only engage at the tender stage have less influence on how requirements are framed.

How long does it take?

From a few weeks for a simple below-threshold competition to a year or more for complex procedures with dialogue or negotiation.
