This is a German procurement term. The period for which procurement records must be kept.
How long must procurement records be kept?
Under the VgV, the procurement file and the bids must be kept for at least three years from the award. Other rules, such as funding conditions, may require longer.
Why does it matter to bidders?
Because the records are the evidence in any later dispute, audit or damages claim.
