What Is a Standard Selection Questionnaire (SQ)?
This is a UK procurement term. A standardised set of qualification questions covering eligibility, exclusion grounds and capability, used to check whether a supplier should progress.
What does the SQ cover?
Supplier information, exclusion grounds and questions on economic and financial standing and technical and professional ability.
Is the SQ still used?
It was used under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. Under the Procurement Act 2023, much of this information is held on the Central Digital Platform instead.
How can suppliers make SQs easier?
By keeping a library of up-to-date answers, policies and evidence, so each submission takes less time.
