What was the Hauptausschuss VOF?
The committee that maintained the VOF, the rulebook for freelance professional services, until the VOF was absorbed into the VgV in 2016.
Does it still exist?
Not in that form. The rules for planning services are now part of the VgV and maintained through the federal legislative process.
Why does it matter?
Only historically. The special rules for architects and engineers in the VgV originate in its work.
